Associate Vice President for Student Affairs
A native of Darlington, South Carolina, Dr. Brittany A. Holloman has a professional career as a higher education educator. Dr. Holloman currently serves as the Interim Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Judicial Appeals at Alabama A&M University (AAMU). Prior to joining AAMU, she served her alma mater, Stillman College, as an Admissions Recruiter and Coordinator for the Scholarship Office. While in this capacity, she helped lead the college in increasing student enrollment and retention. Previously Dr. Holloman served as an adjunct instructor, Program Coordinator, and Executive Assistant to the President at AAMU. Prior to transiting into higher education Holloman worked with United States Forest Service as a Forestry and Wildlife Technician.
Holloman graduated from Stillman College with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology. She attended Alabama A&M University, where she earned a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) with a concertation in Environmental Planning. Holloman went on the earn the Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from Jackson State University in Higher Education and has a research interest in the Influence of Residential Learning Communities on the Academic Success and Persistence of First-Generation College Students.
Dr. Holloman is active in several professional, civic and social organizations. In her spare time, she operates a blog Real Talk with Dr. Bee where the focus is to inform, inspire, and encourage individuals on their journey through academia. Holloman is also the CEO/Founder of the Holloman Foundation a non-profit organization and the host of a brunch series called Brunch with Brittany Holloman.
